A Worker in the Vineyard
Thank you for reading by blog! I am Joe Peyrefitte, a retired business professor. For most of my life I was like one of the laborers in Jesus’ parable “The Workers in the Vineyard” (Matthew 20:1-16). I was similar to the workers who stood around for most of the day, yet received a full day’s pay because of the landowner’s generosity.
The pressures of raising kids, paying bills, and worrying about my academic career progress choked my ability to get closer to God. I didn’t deliver much fruit as I was a challenged Catholic for most of my life. Nevertheless, I’ve still received the Lord’s abundant graces.
I have been transformed through my recommitment to the faith, the gift of Adoration, and the blessings of the Cursillo Movement. I have found great joy in reading scripture and books about our Catholic faith. The mission of this blog is to serve those looking to strengthen their faith through study. I hope to inspire readers to dig deeper into scripture and the work of the writers presented as they travel on their spiritual journey.
